Barro’s Pizza Kicks Off 11th Annual Fundraiser Supporting Arizona Families Facing Childhood Cancer
PHOENIX, Ariz, May 27, 2026 – Family-owned and operated Barro’s Pizza is once again partnering with Pepsi this June for its annual statewide fundraiser benefiting Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children (ACFC), a nonprofit dedicated to helping Arizona families facing childhood cancer.
Now in its 11th year, the monthlong fundraiser has become a longstanding tradition for Barro’s Pizza and its customers, raising more than $328,200 since the partnership began. Hoping to surpass the $58,200 raised in 2025, Barro’s Pizza locations across Arizona will donate proceeds from every lunch special sold throughout June to support ACFC and the community it serves.
Guests can participate simply by ordering any lunch special at Barro’s Pizza locations statewide during the month. Lunch hours and specials vary by location.
“At the end of the day, this is about helping families during a time when support can make all the difference,” said Bruce Barro, co-owner of Barro’s Pizza. “ACFC is there for them in so many ways, and we’re grateful our customers continue showing up and helping us support that work year after year.”
Since its founding in 2014, Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children has served more than 10,000 families across Arizona. The organization was established by Chrisie Abramo after losing her five-year-old daughter, Ava, to cancer and experiencing firsthand the challenges faced while navigating treatment. Today, ACFC provides emotional and financial support, family-centered programs and services designed to help ease the burden on families throughout their childhood cancer journey.
“Barro’s Pizza and Pepsi have been incredible supporters of Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children for many years, and we are so grateful for their continued generosity and commitment to the families we serve,” said Chrisie Abramo, Founder and President of ACFC. “Their partnership helps ensure children facing childhood cancer and their families receive critical emotional, financial and social support while also providing a place where kids with cancer can simply be kids during some of life’s most difficult moments.”
The annual fundraiser continues a partnership that has grown beyond a single campaign, bringing together Barro’s Pizza customers, local communities and ACFC to help support Arizona families when they need it most.
