We’re paying it forward with #RandomActsofBarros!
Barro’s Pizza rounded out Random Acts of Kindness week by creating its own campaign to show the community how important it is to the company. To kick off its campaign centered around random acts of kindness, Barro’s Pizza stopped by Cloves C. Campbell Elementary School in Phoenix with a surprise pizza delivery for the teachers and office staff during the lunch hour.
The campaign, titled #RandomActsOfBarro’s, focuses on thanking local schools, nonprofits and public service organizations for their hard work and service to the community. A few times each month throughout 2017, Barro’s delivery drivers will surprise a local organization with free lunch delivered to its doorstep. The recipients are encouraged to “pay it forward” in their own lives and to share their random acts on social media using the hashtag #RandomActsOfBarros.
With 37 restaurants throughout Arizona and more than 35 years in business, the Barro family prides itself on finding ways to contribute to the growth and betterment of their surrounding neighborhoods.
“At Barro’s, we’re committed to improving our communities and the lives of the people we serve,” said Gina Barro of Barro’s Pizza. “This campaign is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to key players in our community for all of the amazing work they do. Our visit to Cloves C. Campbell Elementary School is only the first of many random deliveries that will take place for the rest of the year.”
The initiative may be new, but for the Barro family, charitable giving and community service are not. During the last 5 years alone, Barro’s Pizza has donated more than one million dollars to local charities through initiatives like the Doran Barro Holiday Hunger Fight for St Mary’s Food Bank Alliance, Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway, charitable giving to organizations like the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, and numerous school sports and spirit night sponsorships.
