Barro’s Pizza raises money for Arizona Myeloma Network
Thank you to everyone who came out to our Arizona Myeloma Network (AzMN) fundraiser at our 67th Ave & 101 location in Glendale to help raise funds and awareness about Myeloma. Myeloma is a cancer of bone marrow plasma cells that attacks and destroys the bone. This type of cancer is rare and is often misdiagnosed, which is why awareness about this disease is crucial.
On October 7th we donated 20% of all orders at our 67th Ave & 101 location, to Arizona Myeloma Network. We want to thank all of our loyal customers who came in and made a difference. Because of you, we were able to raise hundreds of dollars for AzMN!
Founded in 2004, AzMN’s mission is to promote awareness, education and advocacy for improved treatment and quality of life, for multiple myeloma patients, their families and caregiver. We wanted to do our part to spread awareness of myeloma cancer and help AzMN reach as many people battling this form of cancer as possible.
If you would like to do more to help AzMN and their mission, they are holding their 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, November 14, at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club in Scottsdale. The proceeds for this event will go towards expanding their programs, including their Cancer Caregiver Educational Program. The entry fee for the golf tournament is $250 per person and includes: golf, continental breakfast, 19th Hold Awards Luncheon with hosted bar, two tickets to the Night BeFORE Party, among other items.
